A LITTLE ABOUT HALDANE

It’s all about working with people and their art

Haldane, owner and operator, is a practicing artist himself. It is that very reason why he loves working with art. He says, that there is nothing like hanging an amazing piece that inspires him to get back into the studio. His work encompasses artwork from illustrations and murals, to handmade skateboards and carved timber sculptures.

Haldane’s involvement in the Perth Art and Gallery Scene commenced in 1992 when he began as a trainee for leading Perth framer and restorer, Guest Fine Art Services.

After almost 10 years of experience with Guests, Haldane left to pursue his desire of art studies and graduated with a Bachelor of Visual Art along with a Diploma of Art Education at Edith Cowan University.

It was at this time that Haldane became involved in art exhibitions, as well as installations in numerous galleries and art spaces in Perth in roles of exhibitor, curator, consultant and installer.

During this time, he made many connections, and recommendations became more frequent due to his high-quality work and style allowing  Haldane to become highly regarded in the Art Installation Industry in Perth.

Haldane started Creative Hanging in 2009. Within 6 months of operating, Haldane formed partnerships with many framers, as well as forging links with manufacturers of top performance gallery hanging systems.  This ensured he utilised the highest quality systems on the market, blended with  low prices whilst providing exceptional service.

Being a creative person, there is no challenge that Haldane won’t apply himself to solving.  He is always keen to investigate what ideas are current in the industry so that he offers a contemporary viewpoint and will utilise or adapt new concepts to continually develop and expand his expertise.

Haldane prides himself on providing a comprehensive service not only in Perth but will also provide service for his clients in various regional areas of WA, such as Margaret River, Eagle Bay, Dunsborough and Mandurah.

It is a passion for art that drives Haldane, and clients request his services knowing they are getting someone who is truly inspired by what he does. For Haldane, it is his absolute pleasure to work with people passionate about their art and being able to work in such an exciting and innovative industry is an additional bonus.
